About the Journal
Lumora Saudi Journal of Islamic Scholarship and Contemporary Thought (LSJISCT) is a Saudi, quarterly, double-anonymized peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal. Its first publication year is 2025. Rigorous scholarship in Qur'anic studies, Hadith, jurisprudence and legal theory, theology, ethics, Islamic philosophy, intellectual history, comparative religion, Islamic economics and finance, contemporary Muslim thought and the study of Islamic institutions, with attention to Saudi scholarly contexts and global debates. Contributions must identify their sources, methods and interpretive limits. Positive Saudi law belongs in the law and regulation journal, Arabic language and literature in its dedicated journal, and source-led political or social history in the history journal.
The journal publishes original research, systematic and scoping reviews, theoretical and conceptual studies, methods papers, protocols, data and resource reports, and research notes that make a clear contribution within its scope.
