Open access & copyright
Lumora publishes open access only. Every article in every Lumora journal is freely available to read, download, and share — with no subscription paywall, ever.
Immediate open access
Articles are made freely available to read, download, and share immediately on publication. There is no embargo period and no reader registration requirement.
Copyright
Under Lumora's default model, authors retain copyright in their published articles. Authors grant Lumora a non-exclusive licence to publish, preserve, index, and distribute the version of record.
Licensing — Creative Commons CC BY 4.0
All Lumora articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence unless a journal explicitly states otherwise in writing before acceptance.
Under CC BY 4.0, users may:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.
- Attribution required — appropriate credit must be given, a link to the licence provided, and changes indicated.
Author rights
- Authors retain copyright and may reuse their own work without publisher permission, with citation of the version of record.
- Authors may deposit the published version in institutional repositories, preprint servers, and personal pages immediately.
- Authors grant readers the right to use the work under CC BY 4.0 as stated on each article.
Self-archiving
Authors are encouraged to share the published PDF and link to the version of record on Lumora. No embargo applies.
Third-party material
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to include any third-party copyrighted material (figures, extended quotations, questionnaires) and for citing sources correctly. Third-party content may require a different licence and must be declared in the manuscript.
Reuse and attribution
- Readers may copy and redistribute Lumora articles with appropriate credit and a link to the CC BY 4.0 licence.
- Reuse must not misrepresent the original authors or the version of record.
- For commercial reuse of large volumes, we recommend citing the DOI and journal name.
Cost of open access
Lumora is fully open access. Where an article processing charge (APC) applies, it supports editorial coordination, production, hosting, and long-term preservation — never reader access. See Article Processing Charges for transparent pricing.
No toll access
Lumora will not introduce subscription tiers, paywalls, or delayed open access for articles accepted under this policy. This commitment applies to all current and future Lumora journals.
