About the Journal
Lumora Saudi Journal of Cultural and Humanistic Studies (LSJCHS) is a Saudi, quarterly, double-anonymized peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal. Its first publication year is 2025. Interdisciplinary humanities research in philosophy, ethics, cultural theory, comparative literature beyond the dedicated Arabic-language remit, visual and performing arts, museum and memory studies, folklore, popular culture, digital humanities, translation studies and the interpretation of Saudi cultural production in regional and global contexts. Arabic language and Arabic literary analysis belong in the Arabic language journal, source-led historical reconstruction in the history journal, Islamic doctrinal scholarship in the Islamic scholarship journal, and empirical social-structure analysis in the society and social change journal.
The journal publishes original research, systematic and scoping reviews, theoretical and conceptual studies, methods papers, protocols, data and resource reports, and research notes that make a clear contribution within its scope. Published by Lumora as a Saudi scholarly publisher, it applies transparent editorial policies, responsible artificial-intelligence guidance, clear licensing, and international reporting and publication-ethics standards.
