Ethics Commitment
Journal of Anesthesiology, ICU, and Pain is committed to ethical publishing, responsible editorial practice, and the integrity of the scholarly record. Authors, reviewers, editors, and publisher staff are expected to follow recognized standards for publication ethics, transparency, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, and correction of the literature.
Author Responsibilities
  • Submit original work that is not under review elsewhere.
  • Report methods and results accurately, honestly, and completely.
  • Obtain ethical approval, exemption, patient consent, or trial registration when required.
  • Declare funding, conflicts of interest, author contributions, data availability, and AI tool use.
  • Respond honestly to editorial queries and provide data or supporting documentation when requested.
Reviewer Responsibilities
  • Maintain manuscript confidentiality.
  • Declare any conflicts of interest.
  • Provide constructive, timely, evidence-based, and respectful reviews.
  • Avoid using unpublished manuscript content for personal or professional advantage.
  • Notify editors about ethical concerns, suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or data integrity issues.
Editor Responsibilities
  • Make editorial decisions based on merit, ethics, quality, relevance, and journal scope.
  • Protect confidentiality and editorial independence.
  • Manage conflicts of interest appropriately and transparently.
  • Investigate ethical concerns fairly, consistently, and proportionately.
  • Correct the scholarly record when needed through corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions.
