Data Sharing and Research Reporting Policy
Reporting Guidelines
Authors should use the most appropriate reporting guideline for their study design.
- CONSORT for randomized controlled trials
- STROBE for observational studies
- PRISMA for systematic reviews and meta-analyses
- CARE for case reports
- SQUIRE for quality improvement studies
- COREQ or SRQR for qualitative research
- SPIRIT for study protocols
Data Availability
All manuscripts should include a data availability statement. The statement should clearly explain where data, code, protocols, materials, or supplementary files can be accessed, or provide a justification when sharing is restricted.
Recommended Data Availability Statements
- Open data: "The data supporting this study are available at [repository/link/DOI]."
- Available on request: "The data are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request and subject to ethics approval and institutional policy."
- Restricted data: "The data are not publicly available due to privacy, legal, or ethical restrictions."
- No new data: "No new data were generated or analyzed in this article."
Statistical and Methodological Transparency
Authors should provide sufficient methodological detail to enable critical appraisal and reproducibility. This includes study design, sample size, inclusion and exclusion criteria, variables, outcomes, analysis plan, statistical software, missing data handling, and sensitivity analyses where applicable.
